*Even, only because it's an ad. But it's a British advert, not a US advertisement. So.

Hmm heart-breaking. Very hard for that generation who have had no experience of living their own. I guess most of them only moved out of their family homes when they got married which would have been the experience of almost all my aunts and uncles.
Not so moved by the John Lewis despite my great affection for that particular store.
This is very much the same for my mother in law--although she's got the support of a local community (mainly her church). It really is heart breaking. And I guess I really am a sucker for all things Christmassy...
