I do still have a human-type son. There have been an awful lot of kitties and puppies around here lately, I know, but this brilliant sixteen year-old does still live in our house with us. He is very busy this year with classes (he piled them on this year, and he's even taking an extra at one of the other high schools in town). He's getting ready to apply for some programs for next year, his senior year--some of them involve traveling far away to distant lands, which of course would result in an empty nest situation. So for now, I am focusing on enjoying his sweet company.
