add to the cute list

i just saw a little girl walking to school while her mom (and grandma?) drove alongside, very very slowly, calling out encouragement ("look both ways! okay, it's safe to cross!"). it must've been her first time doing it alone, and she looked very serious. and she was wearing white patent leather shoes that could've been from my childhood (the sound they made as she walked was so familiar).
