teriyaki



















i received several really great cookbooks for christmas this year, but i haven't used any of them yet (two are amazing-looking vegan desserty cookbooks, and i think i'm still digesting all the sweet breads and cookies i ate during the month of december, so i haven't cracked those open). so last night i made probably the simplest recipe in my new how to cook everything vegetarian by mark bittman: teriyaki sauce. the rest is my good old standby stirfry, with wide rice noodles, tofu, broccoli, carrots, and garlic. i stirfry it all separately and then toss it all together with teriyaki sauce, just a little. it's yummy. i can't wait to make almost everything in this cookbook!!
