bump

did i mention that i got in a wee car accident yesterday? no, i didn't think so. there have been some low moments in this long weekend which have made me deeply thankful (yet again) that i'm not a single parent. it's all much more fun and easier with a partner like m! anyway, i was driving (slowly, speed limit 25, so i was going about 28 mph) up preble street, and a man driving a truck apparently thought i had a stop sign. coming from the right, he stopped at his stop sign and then proceeded to pull out directly into ace-the-acura's path. we honked (ace and i), and braked, but alas, we smashed into him a little bit. the man was a nice older guy with a fabulous maine accent. we were cordial to each other, exchanged info, and he duct-taped my right turn signal back to my car.

the amazing thing about this is that this was my first accident in 20 years! the last time i was in a little smash-up was when i was 19, driving the plushmobile, drinking a diet coke which spilled all over my lap upon impact. this time my brother adam wasn't with me, i wasn't drinking any kind of beverage, it was the other guy's fault, and i didn't cry one bit!! now i assume i'm safe until i'm 59.

I guess that was a pretty good accident if you absolutely have to have one! In my last accident (which was my fault, unfortunately, although I still think it was the fault of the person ahead of me) the impact knocked a couple of toy poodles to the floor! We didn't have Maisie yet, so I couldn't appreciate how awful that was--I just thought it was kind of funny....

Hey, when did you start accepting advertising? What are your rates?

well, you know how most of our blogger compatriots have those things where you have to type in a nonsense word so the computer knows you're not a robot? i don't have one of those, so i have to cull those little bits of spam as they arise. however, my rates are $20/word, should you be interested!

me too!! happy that your turned out okay.
I was backed into at Hannaford's. The (young girl driver her mothers car) was like, "oh my god...I am like so sorry... I was totally not paying attention" so I didn't bother to get the names of witnesses and she is now denying it. guess her mom was pissed.
