EVERYONE needs a doggie like that one! Even Dr. Kate would think that doggie is cute enough to treat.

Note to Mom: I traveled successfully to the TJ Maxx in Augusta on Sunday with no embarrassing incidents whatsoever, and I found a few nice bargains! (Liz, I hope it's OK to use your blog to communicate with your family!)

okay now, everyone keep posting random "aw, cute doggie" comments until we reach the number 400. (i think it makes liz happy! don't tell!)

I saw Claire Danes on David Letterman last night and they showed a picture of her 8-month-old Schnoodle sitting in the green room. It looked a little like this cute doggie, although not quite as cute, and it got me surfing various Schnoodle and poodle mix websites late into the night...Don't tell Maisie!

ok, this dog wins the contest...I agree with Charlotte. Liz is happy to have the blog that's the place to meet & chat with all your friends ! So, for thanksgiving, Pop & I went to see Shop Girl & I had Claire Danes on my mind & here she is again...! Liz, have you guys rented "My So-called Life" from Netflix?
Happy TG to all!

My big girls loved My So-Called Life so much when it was on TV that I want Charlotte to get to watch it, too. Liz and I were just discussing last week how we can't seem to find it to rent....Tonight, I stayed with my dad from 5:00 to 8:00 so my mom could go to the family Thanksgiving. He and I had a fine time watching football (my first football viewing in many a year). When he was all tucked into bed, a bed that is very, very low to the ground, I tried to lean down to kiss him good night and something happened to my right instep that caused a burst of pain and a sensation of heat. The nurse on duty (handy to have her there) said maybe I had stretched a tendon. So, for the rest of the evening, I iced it and took some Advil and it now feels better, except that I'm not sure I can bend that foot....And I definitely think Charlotte is right about going for 400 posts!

Oh, and Mary, did you like Shopgirl? Peter and I liked it quite a bit, and yesterday, Charlotte and I enjoyed the first possible showing of Rent. We've all seen it on stage, but she was too young, so now we have to get her there sometime for that experience as well.

well, hey Janet (& you too,Liz!) Yes, we did enjoy Shopgirl. I thought it had a pleasantly floaty feel to it - and, like Lost in Translation, a surprisingly unexploitive older man/younger woman relationship. Oh, & now I want to see Rent - never have seen it. Didn't realize that M S-C L wasn't available on netflix& it does seem so perfect for Z & C hmmm. neither is Sammy & Rosie Get Laid which I want to see again after rewatching My Beautiful Laundrette. (neither of these is appropriate for Z & C, but they are good)
Oh, I am sorry that you hurt your foot. You probably need a nice massage. It does sound like a tendon issue. When do charlotte & Peter get home to take care of you?
well, thanks again to Liz for this opportunity. Next time I will tell you about the destructive poltergeist in my home .

bonne soir,

me again.

hey, Lizzie

I responded belatedly to your hitchcock question, back in the hitchcock post. so go back there & take a gander, ok?

hope all's well with you & your boy!

come on, we can make it to 400! yes, the "my so-called life" thing is very curious. why the lack of availability? it's a cult classic, and zoe and charlotte really should see it. i will check out your hitchcock comments, mom...

here's a short dog google search story: once, my mom typed 'cock a poo', no hyphens, no quotation marks, into google images and was really shocked and horrified when nasty porn came up. google deleted the letter 'a', obviously...

ooh, Charlotte. Have you seen Zoe's uncle David's "dog porn" entry on his blog....? it actually is relevant to nothing but loose association (like so much of my life)

Now be an angel & practice your harp !

i saw a schnoodle at the udder place this week, and he was CUTE CUTE CUTE. he looked like a small, fuzzy, black cutie-pie with furnishings (moustache and beard) like our dearly departed birdie boy. he was wiggly and sweet like minnow, and of course shared the intelligence and non-shedding qualities of our little friend maisie! i have to admit, i disapprove of the name "schnoodle," and if i had one i'd have a hard time saying it...

I'm jealous! I've never seen a schnoodle in person, but I know that one day I will if I just keep living and upright life and thinking good thoughts. Liz and Mary, my package arrived today and everything looks to be authentic and in good order!

i can't wait to view "the package." i bet you'll run into this schnoodle one day (i suggest hanging out at the udder place, although i know you despise their chai). the pup's name is shakespeare.
