different cheeses, different dreams

did you hear about this on npr? the british cheese board did a study which found that eating different sorts of cheese gives you different sorts of dreams. i'm not sure if you have to eat the cheese just before going to bed -- the cheese board web site didn't mention the study, and the only definitive description i could find was from the hindustani times. apparently, cheddar causes you to dream of celebrities, while stilton (pictured above) gives you the most bizarre dreams of all. i plan to buy some tomorrow.

p.s. i love that such a thing as a british cheese board exists. there is an american cheese society, but it's an entirely different wheel o' brie. plus, despite the snob appeal of the word "society," for me it conjures an image of snooty people peeling the plastic off slices of "american cheese."

For me the american cheese society would be the group of people that proliferate acts like the Captain and Tenielle!!

i also like that the website says, "the british cheese board is the voice of british cheese," which brings to mind a talking cheese puppet.
