sailors in the bookstore
the sailors poured off the u.s.s. iwo jima in their unbelieveably clean sailor suits and filled the streets of portland. they even came into casco bay books, where they searched in vain for books on car repair.

i wish i could have seen some soldiers! too bad they didn't come over to the 'burbs.
